6 April. Someone suggested last month that I have a lot of stories and snippets of diplomatic life overseas, maybe enough now for an anthology of stories. I’m querying literary agents now describing a proposed collection, “Diplomatic Notes: Glimpses of Foreign Affairs Lives.” Some of the items can be accessed now in the “pieces in anthologies, e-zines” section of this site. Will advise any progress.
On 3 May, I read at the launching for this local anthology, “a world unsuspected.” There’s a tale in there set in Iraq, 2003.

Saturday 28 June: here’s an opinion piece on goings on in Iran that came out last night. I actually submitted this before the U.S. bombed the Fordos site, but I had barely hit the “send” key when the news we had acted came out. Then I had to rewrite the item. At any rate, may there be peace, or as close to it as we can get.
